Within a well-established law firm in Quebec, this role addresses sustained growth and an overload of corporate mandates. You will handle corporate and transactional files with a high level of autonomy, in a multi-site team where collaboration with lawyers and notaries is part of daily life.
Responsibilities — corporate deliverables, volume management, and impact within the team
- Manage a high volume of corporate and transactional files while maintaining consistent quality and clear priorities.
- Prepare corporate documentation (incorporations, updates, resolutions, and related documents) as needed for mandates.
- Keep corporate books up to date and ensure document compliance throughout operations.
- Conduct corporate verifications and support the preparation of required deliverables for transactions.
- Monitor timelines and regulatory obligations, then secure necessary filings and follow-ups at the right time.
- Communicate with clients to obtain missing information, clarify next steps, and ensure efficient service.
- Mentor and coach junior and intermediate paralegals by sharing work methods and best practices.
Profile Sought — essential requirements and expected collaboration style
- Hold a DEC in legal techniques.
- Have 8 years of experience in corporate and transactional law.
- Master corporate file management, legal drafting, and regulatory follow-up in a deadline-driven context.
- Use Microsoft Office and EnAct in document management and production.
- Communicate in English at an intermediate level for occasional English-speaking clients.
- Demonstrate autonomy, rigor, and organizational skills aligned with a flexible and low-micromanagement environment.
- Work in a team with a client service-oriented approach, communication, and multi-site collaboration.
