Job description

As Legal Advisor – Corporate Law at Neolegal, you will be in charge of the following functions:

Corporate law

• Provide legal advice and support to Neolegal's various clients in the Personal Services and Business Services (SME) business units and support them in their business projects;
• Proceed with business registrations, incorporations, transactions, etc.
• Write, examine and annotate legal documents such as formal notices, commercial contracts, shareholder agreements and various corporate documents;
• Support Neolegal clients through the different legal stages of business creation, while ensuring that legal information is popularized;
• Carry out research mandates and legal opinions;
• Provide legal support to business clients, including debt recovery, shareholder disputes, etc.;
• Conduct negotiation mandates;
• Follow up on files and corporate clients;
• Perform any related task;

Job Requirements

• Be very comfortable with using technology
• Member of the Quebec Bar for 2 to 4 years
• Have good listening skills and demonstrate empathy
• Because we serve an English-speaking clientele: bilingual orally and in writing (an asset)
• Ability to explain legal concepts simply
• Excellent customer service and comfortable on the phone
