Product Owner, Financial Crime Projects

NV-09As a product owner, financial crime projects, you work closely with the project promoter and the business analyst to ensure that the solution meets user needs and the project's expected benefits are delivered. You manage relationships with the project's various stakeholders. Your ability to engage others will therefore be an essential skill.You advise and assist dedicated clients and partners as part of key intervention and development initiatives in your field. You propose solutions for improving or optimizing standards, policies and programs. Your projects and initiatives require extensive knowledge of your line of work.You develop recommendations, solutions and action plans in line with the organization's objectives and priorities. You help solve complex problems that require analysis and an in depth understanding of the line of business. Coordination is critical, so you frequently interact with stakeholders working in other fields. Interpersonal savvy is therefore essential.

Additional responsibilities

  • Establish the product backlog for projects, mandates and development activities.

  • Develop and help implement goals, solutions and action plans.

  • Ensure that the solution is aligned with business needs.

  • Determine priorities in order to maximize business value delivered.

  • Analyze information, conduct studies, develop and propose recommendations, and draft summaries.

  • Regularly monitor the business sector and digital realities.

  • Design, update, implement and monitor legal and regulatory compliance action plans, programs, solutions and tools to balance business needs, requirements and best practices.

  • Diagnose issues, challenges, needs and problems in your field to determine target outcomes.

  • Help represent internal and external partners and practitioners.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in a related field

  • A minimum of four years of relevant experience

Please note that other combinations of qualifications and relevant experience may be considered

  • Certified Anti-Money Laundering Specialist (CAMS) (an asset)

  • For vacant positions available in Quebec, please note that knowledge of French is required

Specific knowledge

  • Independent speaker, intermediate knowledge of English

  • Knowledge of anti-money laundering
