Job description

Reporting to the principal labor relations and OHS attorney, the incumbent assists the attorneys in City cases before the administrative and judicial tribunals in matters of labor relations and OHS and in their support for the advisory role in cases of labor relations and OHS. He develops and ensures the follow-up of any tool necessary for the proper management of labor law cases. He ensures legislative monitoring and remains on the lookout for new trends in labor relations and OHS.

More specifically, the incumbent carries out research, analyzes, collates and assembles various information in labor relations and OHS litigation files. He analyzes and summarizes CNESST / TAT files (SST component) and collaborates with the prosecutors for the management of these files.

The incumbent drafts certain documents of a legal nature according to the guidelines established with the prosecutors. He carries out various jurisprudential, doctrinal and legal research in relation to the cases processed or according to the requests. He prepares and drafts, according to established procedures, various reports and correspondence. He also ensures the coordination and follow-up of files.

The desired profile

  • Diploma of college studies (DEC) in legal techniques or in any other relevant field;
  • Have a minimum of three (3) years of relevant experience;
  • Knowledge of labor laws ;
  • Proficiency in the oral and written French language;
  • Proficiency in Microsoft suite software and other relevant computer tools.
