Our Resolu Montreal Office location in Quebec, Canada is currently seeking talent to fill the position of Legal Counsel. This job is permanent, full-time.

Your challenges:
    Assist and advise the various departments at Head Office (including Environmental Services) and the operations relating to day to day environmental compliance and sustainable development;
    Advise on real estate matters and other commercial legal matters related to the Company’s day-to-day operations and transactions;  
    Revise, draft and negotiate commercial contracts and a variety of other legal documents, and contribute to the development and standardization of practices and documents;  
    Ensure practices comply with laws, regulations and internal policies, and in general  help the Company manage risk in your areas of practice and expertise;  
    Take part in commercial and corporate transactions;  
    Manage certain litigation matters assigned to external legal counsel.  

Your team:
Reporting to the Vice President, Legal Affairs, you will be a member of a stimulating team, you will interact with senior management and you will be asked to provide opinions on legal and business matters.  

Your profile:
    Member of the bar of a Canadian province and/or a U.S. state;  
    About 5-10 years of experience with a major law firm or a large corporation, where your practice focussed on environmental compliance matters and commercial law. A mix of law firm and in-house experience would be ideal.
    The ideal candidate also has experience in real estate law, however candidates with an interest in real estate law may be considered.   
    Fully bilingual (English and French).  

Your skills:
    Excellent organization skills and an ability to manage multiple projects at once, follow through and meet deadlines;  
    Practical turn of mind and geared to problem solving;   
    High degree of autonomy;   
    Outstanding spoken and written communication skills and can express legal information in non-technical language to ensure it is understood;  
    Required flexibility to enjoy working in a fast-paced environment.
