The challenges that lie ahead:

As a legal affairs technician, you will perform various types of work of a relatively technical nature to the analysis, processing and monitoring of the files of lawyers and notaries of the Legal Affairs Department of the City of Laval and relating to the application of laws and regulations. You will carry out research, analyzes, participate in the processing of various files of lawyers and notaries of the City of Laval and collaborate in the drafting and updating of various legal documents. You will participate in the definition of procedures, ensure the drafting and documentation. You will support the lawyers and notaries of the service, if necessary to answer questions from employees of different municipal departments, different requests that may arise as part of commitments to be taken out during out-of-court interrogations, research for regulatory drafting and will collect various documents from all the departments and municipal offices of Ville de Laval.

The desired profile:

  • Instruction acquired at the end of a college diploma (DEC) in legal technique;
  • Have eighteen (18) months of experience as described in the summary appearing above, in particular in :
  • Research and drafting of summaries in legislative, regulatory, jurisprudential and doctrinal matters;
  • Drafting of legal documents, legal proceedings and / or legal opinions;

Work schedule: 33 hours / week divided into 4 consecutive working days.

Salary offered: from $ 46,227.18 to $ 71,118.75 / year
