Summary of the

In addition to act as legal adviser to members of the CMMTQ, the lawyer is entrusted with the liability of the illegal exercise records of the profession of master mechanic in piping.

Key responsibilities

  • Collaborate at Illegal Exercise Complaints Investigation;
  • bring prosecutions for criminal offenses at the Piping Mechanics Act and monitor it;
  • represent the corporation before the courts and during the negotiations;
  • take care of the management of follow-ups at the level of the perception of fines at the following a judgment rendered in illegal exercise;
  • provide advice and legal opinions to meet the needs of the members and those of the corporation;
  • collaborate on different publications of the corporation;
  • participate in the development of Training and providing legal training for members


  • member in Rule of the Quebec Bar
  • Minimum of 3 years of relevant experience, particularly in criminal law and representation before the judicial authorities.
  • Valid driver's license
  • French / English Bilingualism

A knowledge of the laws and regulations of the construction industry in Quebec and the civil law would be assets as an experience in a comparable associative environment
